Namibia

This is a country that is hard to describe but I usually recommend it for veteran safari guests and those who love the desert.  It features the world's tallest sand dunes, desert adapted elephants and rhinos (track them on foot!), remote coastlines with sweeping vistas, rock art and some of the oldest tribes in Africa including the famous bushmen.  While Namibia does boast some fabulous wildlife, especially in Etosha National Park, it offers much more.  Some guests say that it is like traveling to outer space in terms of the scenery and the remote feel.  Nambia combines very well with Botswana and South Africa with easy air connections.  You can also visit a cheetah rehabilitation center where you can get up close and personal with these loveable creatures under the watchful eye of a local researcher.
