Day 7
Board our gulet, our home
base for the next six days. Today we paddle three hours with
stops along the way to snorkel and swim at Kaputas Beach (conditions
permitting). Overnight in secluded bay near Kas.
Day 8
Paddle along an intricate
coastline of headlands and outlying islands, passing the Greek
island of Meis. Stop at Paradise Bay, a horseshoe cove with emerald
waters and old cistern ruins. Break for snacks under the olive
trees. Later we meet our boat for lunch and relax after a delicious
meal. Afternoon cruise to Aperlea, an ancient sunken Lycian city
where we snorkel over roof tiles and city walls in the clear
waters. Sunset walk across the peninsula to Tersane Bay, encountering
local farmers harvesting sage,oregano, and carob. Overnight in
a quiet anchorage.

I didn't feel like kayaking. I loved having the boat to myself.
I enjoyed the time to read and reflect while the others were
out adventuring. It was so relaxing. I liked the sunset hikes
