We offer a wide range of gulets for private
charter (please see our Gulet Charters page
for additional details and photographs). On our scheduled group
trips we usually use gulets with the following characteristics:
Boat (gulet):
90 foot long, traditionally handcrafted gulet, 8-cabin capacity
(16 people), each cabin has a bathroom ensuite. Large decks for
sleeping. Canvas covered areas for shade. Large table for dining.
There's a ladder to board on the dingy boat or to climb back
to the boat.
Crew on the boat:
captain, first mate, engineer and cook.
Guides:
We provide professionally licensed guides for charter trips for
our guests who request guided tours. We personally lead our scheduled
sea-kayaking departures.
Sleeping situation on the boat: although the cabins are very comfortable most
people prefer to sleep on the deck under the stars. Sheets, blankets,
and pillows are provided on the boat.
Bathrooms on the boat: each cabin has a private bathroom
with a western flush toilet and a marine shower (hand held showerhead).
There will be hot fresh water available 24 hours a day.
Sample meals on the gulet:
Breakfast:
fruit, yogurt, olives, feta cheese, sheep cheese, tomatoes, French
toast, omelets, fresh bread, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, fruit
etc.
Lunch: a vegetable dish such as sautéed green beans,
eggplant cooked with tomato sauce, pasta or rice, salad, yogurt,
fresh bread, fruit.
Dinner:
some appetizers such as yogurt dip, hummus etc. The main dish
will be barbecued, roasted or sautéed chicken or beef
with pasta or rice or potato salad, tomato or green salad, dessert
or fruit. Tea or coffee is served after the meals.
Drinks on the boat:
On the boat the soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are sold
at a reasonable price at the bar. You'll sign a bar tab every
time you get drinks and then at the end of the trip you'll pay
in cash.
