Blue Odyssey - An active quest for adventure, fun and cultural
understanding along the fabled Turquoise Coast of Turkey.
Small group exploration of Turkey's rich
history and landscape in the care of expert leadership. We specialize
in a different kind of travel to Turkey, not the usual "float
and bloat" tour. Our goal is to provide an active, rewarding
travel experience that will leave guests renewed, refreshed,
and enriched with knowledge about Turkey's history, culture,
and people. That's why we were the first company to combine the
comforts of a gulet tour with the adventure of sea kayaking.
Our sea kayaks provide a new way to explore the luminescent sea
caves, sunken cities, and emerald bays of the Mediterranean.
We offer a hands-on educational experience, not a museum tour.
We arrange tea with local families, organize special dinners
with local music and dancing, and so much more. Blue Odyssey
is a company small enough to bring personal touches to the tours
and big enough to organize well-planned travel programs from
beginning to end.
Jale Boga and Perry Robertson operate and
lead these trips. Working as a team (Jale is Turkish and Perry
is American), they bring a special combination of skills to the
trip. Jale is a licensed professional guide with a master's degree
in political science. She has been guiding adventure trips along
the Turquoise Coast for more than 11 years and has the ability
to make the past come alive with her enthusiasm and knowledge
of Turkey. Perry has managed and operated adventure trips around
the globe for the past eighteen years. He fell in love with Turkey
over a decade ago and has a wonderful rapport with the local
people. Perry and Jale live in Kalkan, Turkey, in the summer
months and Marin County, California in the winter. They have two
sons; Clavey Ali and Jordan Cem.
Istanbul - Gateway to the Orient. Explore the mosques and

Lycian Coast - Discover the home of the ancient Lycians, a
matriarchal society whose citizens lived along these waters in
